Q:
WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL TRAINING?
A:
Functional training is performing movements that train the body for the activities performed in daily life. At Infinite Fitness, we perform functional training in ways that are varied and intense. We incorporate Wendler 5/3/1 Strength program on Mondays and Wednesdays, and then follow it with our WOD (Workout of the Day). Each class begins with a warm-up and ends with rolling out and stretching our muscles.
We set positively written goals that are measurable and attainable, while keeping track of our daily WOD’s in our journals so we can track our progress.
Q:
WHAT IS A WOD?
A:
WOD Stands for Workout Of The Day.
Q:
WILL EACH WOD BE THE SAME?
A:
No. Our workouts are constantly varied, so neither your body, nor you, will not get used to what to expect next.
Q:
I DON’T CONSIDER MYSELF AN “ATHLETE”. WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP UP?
A:
Absolutely! Our Fundamentals classes are meant to get you prepared! Get a solid foundation and build confidence before stepping into the higher paced classes. Infinite Fitness has athletes of all ages and fitness levels, so you’ll fit right in.
Q:
HOW WILL I KNOW THAT I’M GETTING IN BETTER SHAPE?
A:
For one, you’ll see it and feel it. We like progress to be measurable, so we will document some of our workouts and make notes of elements that are modified. As WOD’s get repeated you’ll have documentation on how you performed previously, so you can see how much you’ve improved. Bo also keeps track of your Strength numbers and you will find new 1 Rep Max’s on your lifts every four months.
Q:
WILL I GET BIG RESULTS JUST BY SHOWING UP?
A:
No. Getting healthy, losing weight and adding muscle requires all out effort in the gym, but more importantly, it takes bigger effort in the kitchen. Most people will need to redefine their eating habits in order to see the biggest results. Bo will guide you with nutritional advice and support’s healthy food decision-making, which yields the fastest progress to a healthier, leaner you!
